Announcements for the Week of January 17, 2022

• In response to the most recent Executive Order by Governor Youngkin, HCPS will maintain the current expectation on masks.  It is expected that all students, staff, and visitors wear masks on school grounds at all times
• If your student has tested positive and is showing symptoms, please communicate the date of the positive test to the school via phone,
• Complete the Health Screening for Students prior to leaving for school in the morning,
• Maintain distance between others as much as possible during the school day.

  • Student drop off and pick up is in the Stadium Parking lot and students enter through Music Ramp doors
  • Bus Riders enter through the Bus ramp doors
• In the event that your student must quarantine, please view the Flowchart for quarantining

Please talk to your student about wearing the mask all day except when they are actively eating. “All day” includes the bus stop, on the bus, and on the bus ramp.

Please, closely review the offerings in all disciplines; there are some wonderful options!  If you have not already done so it is now imperative that you and your student/s discuss teacher recommendations, class offerings, and make selections in PowerSchool.

Later in the spring course verification sheets will be sent home with students.  That will be a good opportunity to confirm your student’s course selections.  The last day to request a change to the 2022-23 classes will be May 27, 2022; this is not a guarantee that the change request can be accommodated, only that the request can be considered.  The School Counseling team is here to support your student, please contact us if you have any issues or questions.

HHS Athletic Calendar

Senior Parents –  Is your student planning on attending college next year? If so you will need to fill out your FAFSA form! This is the federal application for student aid which is MONEY FOR COLLEGE! Mrs. Cox- our GRASP representative – will be in the school counseling office on Tuesdays to help you and your family submit this very important form.
