End of Course English Performance Task All 10th grade students will take the Henrico County Public Schools English Performance Tasks instead of multiple-choice writing SOL on Wednesday February 1.  This will be a secure testing environment as there is no movement from 9:00 – 1:00.

  • Freshmen, Juniors, and Seniors will be placed in a specific study hall from 9:00-1:00 then transition to 5th period and resume the normal Day 1 schedule.
  • All students have the option of late arrival at 1:00 and reporting to 5th period and resume the normal Day 1 schedule.
  • All students not testing have the ability to complete work via Schoology asynchronously for attendance purposes.
Summer School Online HPE Interested in the Summer School Online Health & PE 9 or 10?  The lottery opens on February 3rd. There are two live virtual information sessions, January 31st & February 8th.

Here is the link to all the information!

Overdue Library Books While we understand that we have the BEST Library in Virginia, we cannot maintain our circulation unless books are returned in a timely manner.   There are currently 600 overdue books out right now and we would really like to get them back!  We have already broken our January checkout record with still over a week to go, but imagine how many books we could check out if we could get the popular books back on the shelves!

We do not charge overdue fees.  If students are still reading a book, they should come in to renew their loan – we want them to keep reading!

School Health Services Families, if you have not already done so, please log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal to fill out the mandatory school health history form. If you prefer, you can print the Student Health History, complete it, and have your student return it to Nurse Tyree. You may also email the completed forms to vdtyree@henrico.k12.va.us
ACE Center Renovation – Updates Updates:  Underground construction is in process on the walkway in between the gym and annex buildings.  Students must follow a different route to go to Business trailers, Driver’s Ed, and ROTC.  Students are encouraged to use the Music Ramp exit to access these classes.

Previous Information:  Due to the expansion of the ACE Center, construction has begun and will impact our traffic pattern.  A fence has been placed in our Auxiliary Parking lot in front of the building.  Please follow our protocols for Parent Pick-up and Drop Off as we now have limited space in the front parking lot.  Thanks for your assistance with this process!

MajorClarity HCPS has partnered with MajorClarity, an online academic and career planning platform designed to help every student in grades 6-12 explore and discover future careers and courses that closely relate to their interests, personality, skills and strengths and take ownership of their academic and career goals! Because parents/guardians play an integral role in their child’s academic and career planning process, students are encouraged to access MajorClarity at home with their family in addition to the various planned and scheduled opportunities to work in the platform at school. Parents/guardians also have the opportunity to access MajorClarity via their student’s account anytime, from any device, using Clever. Check out the MajorClarity Parent/Guardian Login Instructions for detailed directions!

Would you like an introduction to MajorClarity? This MajorClarity Overview Video is a great place for parents/guardians to start!
