Please view the updates and reminders for the week! Monday is Day 2, and students will attend periods 2, 4, 6, and 8.

  • Virginia College Application Week! - This week we will highlight life after the completion of high school by celebrating Spirit Week! Seniors are encouraged to apply to colleges and universities in Virginia this week through CommonApp as all applications are waived for this week only. 

    • Monday 10/21- Dress up as your future career or wear your current job uniform

    • Tuesday 10/22- Roommate Day/Twin Day

    • Wednesday 10/23- Teacher/Student Swap Day

    • Thursday 10/24- Rock your favorite college gear

    • Friday 10/25- Roll Pride- Herm Spirit Wear

  • HCPS College and Career Night - While Henrico County Public Schools’ College and Career Night isn’t exactly time travel, students will get a good look at their options for life after high school when they attend the Oct. 22 event. Students and their families can talk with representatives of:

    • Nearly 100 two- and four-year colleges and universities.

    • Branches of the military.

    • Professional training programs.

    • Employers, such as local businesses and government agencies.

    • The countywide event will be held at Highland Springs High School from 6-8 p.m.

    • Interpreters will be available at the event. There will also be representatives present to discuss financial aid, scholarships and other resources to support students pursuing a variety of postsecondary paths.

  • Student Half-Day - Wednesday, October 23 is the final day of the first Marking Period and it is a Half Day for students. 

    • 9:00 - 9:55 - 2nd Period

    • 10:00 - 10:55 - 4th Period

    • 11:00 - 11:55 - 6th Period

    • 12:00 - 12:55 - 8th Period

    • 12:55 dismissal w/a Grab and Go lunch

  • Panther Plus - In the event that students need additional academic support, Panther Plus is our after-school tutoring program.  Please use the form to sign up for additional academic assistance.

  • Community Forum - Please join us for our weekly Community Forum Wednesday at 7:00 via Microsoft Teams. We will discuss all things Hermitage and hope to see you there!

  • AP Exam Registration - opens on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 12:01 am. Please select the link to our AP Newsletter that has all the information you will need to register. This information has also been shared with your students through Schoology. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Mrs. Jones at mmjones@henrico.k12.va.us or Mrs. Ferrell at ksferrell@henrico.k12.va.us.

  • College Visits - Students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from various colleges and universities during AIRR Time.  Please view the schedule for specific dates.  Representatives from George Mason (Monday), East Carolina (Thursday), and Richard Bland College (Friday) will be on campus during AIRRTime this week.  Please see Mrs. Norris in School Counseling for a pass to attend.  

  • Scholarships - Please view this link for scholarships and apply!  Additional Scholarships will be available in MajorClarity.  Scholarships will be updated throughout the school year.  

  • Opportunity Alert for Students Ebenezer Baptist Church is hosting an HBCU College Fair on October 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Students can register for the event by calling 804-643-3366.

  • Herm HallowSteam! - Please join us for food, family, fun, and of course literacy during Herm HallowSteam on Tuesday, October 29 from 5:30 - 7:30.  This is also the time we will host the Fall Parent Teacher Conference. This will be an event you don’t want to miss as we highlight students and teachers! Click HERE to help provide supplies!

  • Mocktails and Masterpieces - Please join the HHS PTSO as they host a paint night social!  Visit the HHS PTSO website to purchase a ticket and sign up!  We hope to see you there!

  • FAFSA/GRASP - Advisor, Ms. Cox is back and ready to help you with your Financial Aid needs. Unfortunately, the FAFSA does not open until December 1st this year. Before the FAFSA release, she will still be at Hermitage on Tuesdays to meet with you to discuss financial aid and help create your FSA IDs. Please select the link to sign up for a time to meet with Ms. Cox.

  • Student Drop-Off - Parents, please remember that student drop-off is at the stadium parking lot. The front parking lot will be blocked from moving forward as additional cars in front of the school disrupts the flow of school buses for students with special needs.

  • HHS Parent/Student Handbook - Please view this document for the 24-25 school year as it contains pertinent information for the daily functions of the school setting.

  • Please join the PTSO!  Our Parent Teacher Student Organization supports various programs and provides resources for our school community.  Parents can join for only $7 and we appreciate your support!  Visit the PTSO site to join!

  • The Connection - Please visit the HCPS site to create accounts and gain access to PowerSchool, Lunch Account, and/or pay school fees.  

  • Seniors - Please visit the Jostens site to purchase items for Graduation!  Navigate the site and enter “Hermitage” for the school name to locate school specific packages and pricing.
