Academic & Counseling Updates

10th Grade EOC Testing

  • Restricted Movement: The school will implement "Restricted Movement" on Thursday (12/11) and Friday (12/12) to ensure a quiet, focused environment for the English Performance Task EOC.

College & Career Planning

  • ASVAB Testing Sign-Up: The ASVAB (military and career exploration tool) will be administered on February 19 at 9:30 AM. Sign up via the provided link; parent/guardian permission will be contacted.

  • Seniors:

    • Re-submit your request for a transcript.

    • Mrs. Cox is available on Mondays and Tuesdays for FAFSA ID creation.

    • Visit the HHS Counseling site for Scholarship information and report all awards to your counselor.

  • Summer Opportunity: Radford University is hosting a weeklong Women in STEM Summer Bridge (July 12–17).

  • Parent Feedback: Complete the Parent Needs Assessment to give feedback on Counseling services.

General School Info

  • Yearbooks: The 2025-2026 Yearbook is on sale for $40 ($10 off) through the New Year. See Mrs. Perez to purchase.

    • Senior Dedication Pages start at $25 (Order at tinyurl.com/HermYearbook2026!).

  • Life Ready Learning: The new reporting form for logging real-world experiences (like community service) is in effect this quarter. All previously approved hours count toward the 80-hour Diploma Seal requirement.
